SLATO - Advanced Learning App
Krishworks developed the SLATO solution with on-field pilot program, UI/UX designs, frontend and backend development, QA, deployment and continued maintenance. Engagement campaigns, app performance and user behavior analytics were actively monitored.
Through Slato, we were able to engage students, teachers and parents under a single platform for overall development of the communities. Our goal of alleviating English literacy in rural India could be realized through Slato, where schools could achieve digitization at low cost, parents could provide QR-coded books to their children, and teachers could upgrade themselves with our training programs
The challenge
SLATO’s main objective is to improve the quality of rural education and we have engaged ourselves with extensive research and groundwork to design and develop customized pedagogy and curriculum for the rural schools. Any school could easily become a smart school using QR coded books and a smart TV/projector. Teachers, students, and parents were involved in overall development of the stakeholders.
The solution
Krishworks used the following GCP services to provide solutions to the Slato application : Authentication, Firestore Database, Storage, Hosting, Cloud Functions, Machine Learning (QR Code processing), Crashlytics, Analytics, Messaging, Dynamic Links. Reserved IP, Load Balancer (frontend /backend), and HTTPS static website hosting were used to stream SCORM contents.
The result
As a result of our collaborative work, SLATO was able to achieve its goal by improving rural education and digitalization of rural schools. Teacher training programs were undertaken in numerous schools and areas. A steady incline of parent’s involvement was observed, who regularly visited schools and awareness sessions. SLATO has been able to onboard 10,000+ users with active usage and retention.
