IMU sensor
Achieve accurate motion tracking with low-power IMU sensors featuring seamless wireless connectivity options.
What is an IMU Sensor?
An IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) sensor is a sophisticated device that combines accelerometers, gyroscopes, and sometimes magnetometers to measure motion, orientation, and rotational changes in real-time. In IoT applications, IMU sensors are essential for applications that require precise motion tracking and dynamic movement analysis. Our IoT-based IMU solutions help businesses with accurate and real-time data to enhance automation, safety, and performance in sectors ranging from robotics to transportation.
Applications:
Autonomous Vehicles
Track vehicle orientation, motion, and changes in direction for safe and accurate navigation.
Robotics
Enable precise movement control, balance, and stability for industrial, service, and medical robots.
Drones and UAVs
Stabilize flight paths, perform aerial maneuvers, and support autonomous flight control systems.
Sports and Fitness
Monitor athlete movements for performance analysis, injury prevention, and advanced training insights.
Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR)
Track head and body motion for immersive experiences in gaming, training, and simulations.
Marine and Aerospace Navigation
Provide orientation data to support navigation in ships, aircraft, and satellites.
Wearable Technology

Our IMU solutions deliver precise data for any application where motion tracking and orientation are crucial.
How Data Acquisition Happens
Our IMU sensors capture motion and orientation data across multiple axes using integrated accelerometers, gyroscopes, and (optionally) magnetometers. These components measure linear acceleration, angular velocity, and magnetic field orientation.
The analog signals are processed by an onboard microcontroller, converting them into digital data streams. This data is transmitted wirelessly via IoT communication protocols like LoRaWAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cellular networks to cloud platforms or edge devices.
Once in the cloud or edge system, the data is processed, visualized, and analyzed using real-time dashboards and analytics tools. Custom alerts and notifications ensure that businesses can act on critical changes in motion or orientation promptly.
Peripheral Integration
Our IMU sensors are designed for seamless integration with other IoT devices and platforms, enabling comprehensive motion and orientation solutions. They can work alongside:
GPS Modules for advanced navigation and tracking applications.
Edge Computing Devices for real-time, on-device data processing.
Cloud-Based Platforms for centralized data visualization, analysis, and reporting.
Accelerometers and Gyro Sensors for enhanced motion and rotation tracking.

Usecases
Smart Tag Locator
We developed an IoT solution using UWB & IMU sensors for locating personal belongings. By attaching a tag equipped with UWB and BNO055 sensors (for angle and direction), users can track items with pinpoint accuracy. With the help of SPI communication between ESP32 and UWB modules, and a system with anchors at minimum of three fixed points, the location of the tag is pinpointed accurately due to triangulation. We are developing a mobile app that can guide us to the tag.
