Krishworks collaborated with Devicethread, an AI-powered IoT platform for hotels and rental properties, to upgrade the capabilities of Yale Smart Locks with features tailored specifically for the hospitality industry. The solution integrates Z-Wave protocol support and Samsung SmartThings Edge Driver technology, enabling real-time control, remote access, and enhanced interoperability. Developed using Lua and JavaScript, the system offers key functionalities such as timed auto-lock (30 seconds after unlocking), customizable user access schedules, remote master code management, and real-time battery level monitoring.
To ensure uninterrupted performance, the smart lock system includes persistent local storage for offline reliability and a custom API that allows seamless integration with external apps and web platforms. Property managers benefit from instant notifications for lock events and battery updates, making it easier to maintain operational efficiency.
