Custody Protect (Smart handcuff for prisoners)

Custody Protect is a product of 4sightLabs in the USA developed by Krishworks. The device is used by US police officers in the US prisons to monitor the health status of Prisoners.

A comprehensive system utilising ESP32 for a WiFi Mesh network, integrated with Azure IoT, Heart Rate Sensor, Accelerometer, Bluetooth (BLE), FreeRTOS, Arduino, LoRaWAN, UWB, and RFID technologies to monitor and transmit health data from US prisoners under arrest, ensuring secured transmission of data through MQTT.

About Custody Protect

The IoT Product is developed for 4sight Labs, USA. The primary objective is to develop a solution to monitor detainees in the US prisons to prevent the custody deaths. The police officers can monitor the health status of each prisoners with custody protect and take actions on time to prevent deaths of prisoners caused by inconsistent health conditions ( high/low Heart rates, Blood pressures etc).

The police officers also can track the activity status of prisoners such as movements with the Accelerometer in the sensor. The police officers will receive an alert whenever an inconsistent movement happens.

The Entire Stack – Backend, User Apps, Firmware, PCB Design have been developed end to end by our team
