BLE in IoT solutions is necessary to be both efficient and scalable, key features of connectivity solutions. BLE is a wireless communication protocol for devices within an IoT solution that enables low-power IoT; hence, it is one of the enablers. BLE best suits those devices that are expected to operate on extended battery life and send small sets of data, such as wearables, sensors, and smart home devices.

NimBLE is a lightweight and power-efficient BLE that further optimizes the BLE for reduced overhead and faster response times. BLE itself, along with NimBLE, will be discussed in connecting IoT with power efficiency, advantages, disadvantages, use cases, and insights from our projects.
